No matter which of our models you choose, we follow the same basic process for every project. We’ve learned during our time in the industry that a simple, honest approach to building yields the best results. OKIE Barndominiums team involves you at every step of the process, which helps to ensure that you’re completely satisfied with your barndominium.
Although it’s not a requirement, the process will go more smoothly if you’ve already purchased the land, had it surveyed, and obtained preapproval for the build from your bank. We can refer you to realtors and banks we’ve worked with before if you haven’t gotten that far yet.
This is where we get to know you! Once you’ve inquired about a project that we build, our team will get together with you to get a better idea of what you’re looking for in your barndominium. If you’ve already got a design in mind, great! We’ll go through that design with you to gather all the information we’ll need to make a formal bid. Not to worry if you don’t have a design – for a small fee, our crew will help you create the barndominium of your dreams.
Before we make a formal bid, we’ll meet with you one more time to go through the details of the bid you’ve developed with us. If there are any elements of your bid that need a little more hammering out, we’ll take care of that here.
Once we’ve made a successful bid and everyone is on the same page about the project, you’ll sign an agreement. We consider this the official starting point of your project.
Our last step before building begins is to finalize what’s going into the barndominium. Your barndominium will be completely custom. We’ll use your budget to put together a book of options for your project, including:
After you’ve made your choices from the book, we’ll get started! The barndominium building process itself is generally much faster than building a house. Since our highly skilled crew handles nearly all construction in-house, you won’t find yourself waiting on a subcontractor. In fact, most of our barndominiums are move-in ready in just three months.
